# Designing dox42 templates

Once you have created your document template and configured your data sources, you can start designing your template by inserting and formatting data fields, adding dynamic content, and customising the layout and structure of your generated documents.

Some features and configuration options differ between the dox42 Add-Ins for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
