# Updating a dox42 Add-In

To update your current dox42 Add-In to the most recent version, you need to first uninstall it and then install the most recent version.

## Steps

1. Close Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
2. Select **Start > Settings > Apps.**
3. Select the desired dox42 Add-In from the **Apps & Features** list.
4. Select the **Uninstall** button.
5. Confirm the upcoming message with the **OK** button.
6. Follow the [installation steps for dox42 Add-Ins](/v1/docs/installing-a-dox42-add-indoc).

## Result

You have updated your current dox42 Add-In.
