Configuring an operation for Word, Excel and PowerPoint templates

You can choose an operation while creating a template.

Steps

  1. In D365 FSCM go to System administration > Setup > dox42 > dox42 parameters.

  2. Select the General tab, Reports tab or in Report setup.

  3. From the Operation dropdown select the desired entry:

    • GenerateDocument (default)– for Word template

    • GenerateSlides – for PowerPoint template

    • GenerateSpreadSheet – for Excel template

  4. For the operation GenerateSpreadSheet you should put in a Template name, in Report setup the path to the data map of your Excel template.

  5. For every type of report template, you can add an email body template in a Word format only.

  6. Select Save.

Result

You have configured an operation for Word, Excel and PowerPoint templates.
