FAQ

With regard to the document type “Category,” how can I determine the “key values” of a property in d.velop documents?

You can display an overview of all categories and properties via the link https://{meineCloud}.d-velop.cloud/dms/r/{RepositoryID}/source. Here, the key values can be used to configure the dox42 App for d.velop.

After starting the dox42 call, I receive the error message “Error loading Datamap [27](https://bing.com/search?q=)”. What does it mean?

An error occurred while loading the data map file.

  1. Check if the data map file is accessible at the specified location.

  2. Check if the "Optional Input Parameters" are correctly configured.

  3. Open the template in Word and try the call via the dox42 Add-In.

How does the “Use released document” option work in the configuration of the dox42 call?

If available, the call uses a released template and a released data map file. If there is no released template or data map file, the call uses a template and data map file with the Processing status.

I receive the error message “class java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException”. What does it mean?

The message indicates that the dox42 Server is not available. This can have various reasons, e.g. a deactivated port or a deactivated dox42 Server web service. A more detailed analysis is needed. Contact your implementation partner or support@alpin.it.

I receive the error message “This dox42 Server is configured to check for trusted template locations”. What does it mean?

It is necessary to extend the Trusted Template Location as described in Configuring the dox42 Server Trusted Template Locations.

When generating a document via the dox42 template, I receive the error message “Custom OutputAction CustomOutputD3Rest not defined in web.config”. What does it mean?

This indicates that the Custom Output Action has not yet been installed and registered on the dox42 Server, as described in Registering the dox42 App for d.velop on the dox42 Server. The required DLLs are provided by Alpin and can also be requested via dox42 support. If you are using dox42 Online, the installation must be requested from dox42, always via dox42 support.

The dox42 app call does not work and I find this message in the dox42 Server logs: “Length cannot be less than zero”. What is wrong?

No parameters were specified for the generated document in the dox42 call. The dox42 app expects at least one property to be set, providing information about the document. These are the fields defined by the dox42 property property. Example: property.property_state (for the document status).

When I open a dox42 template from d.velop documents I am asked for the login credentials. After entering them, I receive an error message referring to the DLL file “Could not load file or assembly ‘Newtonsoft.Json’ or one of its dependencies”. What does this mean?

Your dox42 Add-In is missing the custom data source for d.velop documents. Please follow the steps in Adding a data source to your dox42 Add-In. After that, the template can be opened correctly.
