Single printing with multiple output files to be downloaded

Scenario

Multiple files should be downloaded by a browser app (“File” output) as a result of a single printing, but there is only one file downloaded. For example, when using the print management functionality with the multiple file output.

Solution

There is a standard limitation in D365 FSCM that only one file can be downloaded per function call within an user session. Make sure that the D365 FSCM feature “dox42 reports in a zip file for multi-file download scenarios“ (available since version 2.0.1) is activated on your environment. This feature enables downloading report files as a zip file in some scenarios where multiple files are generated for downloading such as the print management functionality.
