The SharePoint data source in dox42 allows users to access and utilize data from all across Microsoft SharePoint. This basic data source is included with the dox42 Add-In installation. Users can create dynamic documents featuring tables, charts, images, and more, which can be saved in multiple formats, including PDF and M365 files. The SharePoint Online App enhances this functionality by enabling direct document generation from SharePoint Online without the need for programming. The App is also available as part of the basic service license module.

Microsoft SharePoint is a web-based document management platform. Organizations can store, share, and access information securely. It‘s often used for corporate intranets, enabling collaboration, archiving, and project management.
Microsoft SharePoint can be used either as a cloud-based subscription service hosted by Microsoft (SharePoint Online) or as an on-premises version installed on your own servers (SharePoint Server).
The SharePoint data source can be used with both dox42 Server (on-premises) and dox42 Online (cloud).

In addition to the SharePoint data source, there is also the SharePoint Online App.
With the SharePoint Online App, dox42 can be integrated into SharePoint Online. The App enables you to generate one or many documents directly from SharePoint Online.
This integration to SharePoint Online is a basic module for dox42. The SharePoint Online App
enables you to use dox42 document automation within SharePoint Online without the need for scripting or programming.
provides you with an interface to easily configure dox42 web service calls and lets you integrate them as clickable buttons within your chosen SharePoint libraries or lists. Adding or editing dox42 calls makes it possible to quickly implement changes.
allows you to easily create your own dox42 buttons and generate documents right from your SharePoint Online libraries or lists with a single click.
Important
With the SharePoint Online App, dox42 can be integrated into SharePoint Online.
The app does not work for SharePoint on-premises.

Scripting or editing with SharePoint Designer is not necessary for SharePoint Online.
