Generating an Excel document for testing

When designing an Excel template you can easily test the outcome directly from Excel.

Prerequisite

• You have added a data map to the document template.

• You have added at least one data source to the document template’s data map.

Steps

1. Open your Excel template.

2. Go to the dox42 ribbon and select Generate.

   

   Depending on your configuration, an input parameter dialog might open.

3. Optional: Select or enter a value for the input parameter and select Generate.

Result

You have generated a test document.
